Sinusitis Guide - When should I seek medical care?

If you have sinus symptoms that last longer than your other cold symptoms and don’t seem to be getting any better after a few days, contact your doctor. Also, if you have a fever greater than 100.5 F, severe headache, confusion, or a stiff neck, contact the doctor right away.

If you have sinusitis that fails to respond to treatment and lasts for more than three months, or if the symptoms go away and return several times, see your doctor and ask about being evaluated for chronic sinusitis.
