Tuberculosis Guide - When should I seek medical care?

You should see a doctor if you have any of the symptoms of TB, especially a bad cough that lasts for three weeks or longer. Even if you have no TB symptoms, you should be tested for TB if you have HIV, you work as a health care worker or in an institution such as a prison, or if you have been in close contact with a person who has active TB.
