Vaccines Guide - Where do I get vaccinated?

Routine vaccinations (the ones recommended for everyone) and some vaccines only needed by certain populations are usually available at your local doctors office, but you may want to call ahead to make sure. Other places to get vaccinations include hospitals and medical clinics and the local public health department. Free clinics may also provide vaccinations, as well as some urgent care or walk-in clinics. Sometimes clinics or pharmacies will hold vaccination clinics that offer free or low-cost vaccinations to those who need them. Many other places may offer influenza vaccines during the fall and winter including some senior centers, grocery store pharmacies, and drug stores.

Often, doctor’s offices do not regularly stock the vaccinations needed for travel to other countries. For these you may need to make an appointment at the local public health department. Free and low-cost clinics may also provide some of these vaccines.
