Whooping Cough Guide - When should I seek medical care?

Whooping cough is extremely contagious, so see your doctor if you believe you or your child is infected. Also see your doctor if you or your child have experienced the following:

Exposure to someone who has whooping cough, even if you have been vaccinated
Severe coughing with a whooping sound or coughing that causes skin to turn red or blue or is followed by vomiting
Difficulty breathing, eating, or drinking because of prolonged coughing
